GLENMOORE, Pa--Over Labor Day Weekend, enjoy 75 Years of “Fun at the Crossroads” that is Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show & Country Fair, at the intersection of routes 401 and 100 in Glenmoore, Chester County.
This year it celebrates its 75th anniversary on ept. 1-3 with thrilling show jumping, competition in three rings, rides and games for kids, concessions, vendors and craft beer from Stickman Brews.
Many area families attend Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show & Country Fair annually, knowing it is a great way to wrap up summer.
The country fair entertains all ages with Saturday’s Pet Parade sponsored by Lulu’s Rescue (animals in costumes from pet rabbits to alpacas; no fee to enter) with State Senator Andy Dinniman as the judge; rides (mechanical bull, bungee jump, rock wall among others); children’s games; creepy crawlers, llamas, alpacas, jumping bunnies, pony rides and dog agility; live music, craft beer by Stickman Brew and boutique vendors featuring unusual gifts and clothing.
There is even an antique tractor and car show and a Mounted Horse Archery demonstration.
Catering by Yellow Springs feeds the crowd with BBQ, hamburgers, hotdogs, grilled chicken, wraps, salads, stuffed portabella mushrooms and ice cream.
Exciting equestrian action is featured in three competition rings all three days, easily seen from the midway and country fair above.
Riders of all ages from throughout the region compete at Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show & Country Fair each year, with events from Ladies Sidesaddle, Leadline for children, Hunter and Pony Derbies, and carriage driving.
The marquis event is the $7,500. Ludwig’s Corner Mini Prix on Monday starting at approximately 2:00.
This thrilling competition features regionally and nationally prominent riders and their horses at speed over tall jumps placed on a challenging course.
