GLENMOORE, Pa--Horse Power for Life is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides FREE therapeutic horsemanship sessions for men, women and children affected by cancer.
We offer our services to cancer patients, survivors, and those who have lost a family member to this terrible disease.
We invite the entire family to participate and it is FREE for everyone.
Our goal is to help the individual focus on body, mind and soul rather than the disease while learning about horses in an atmosphere of professionalism, teamwork, and fun.
We also offer Summer Pony Camp to children affected by cancer.
Our Summer Pony Camp Scholarship spots are almost full.
We currently have 37 children registered and have a few spots left.
The four weeks of camp are June 17-21, July 8-12, July 29-Aug. 2 and Aug. 19-23.
The camp is located at 1646 Fairview Road, Glenmoore, Pa., 19343 and runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The camp if for beginner and intermediate riders, ages 5 to16 years old.
It includes horse related activities, grooming, care and riding, swimming and craft.
