Almasty, a graded stakes winner and new addition to Pin Oak Lane

Pin Oak Lane Farm is pleased to announce the addition of the graded stakes winning, ALMASTY, a son of leading sire, SCAT DADDY, who has more black type winners and more graded stakes winners than any North American stallion in 2017 and is second in producing G1 stakes winners.

AlmastyAlmasty is from the family of the foundation mare, MINSTRELLA, which also produced GUN RUNNER and SAINT LIAM, etc.

Almasty, a graded stakes winner, had four wins, three seconds and two thirds from 16 starts.

He only ran once as a 2-year-old, breaking his maiden as a 3-year-old at the Fair Grounds.

He won the G3 Commonwealth Turf Stakes at Churchill Downs as a 3-year-old and was third in the Kentucky Downs Turf Sprint Stakes at Kentucky Downs as a 4-year-old.

Pin Oak Lane Farm is located in New Freedom, Pa.

He will stand for an introductory fee of $2,500 with reductions for multiple mare breedings.

Rimrod

 

For the past several years, RIMROD has brought the best American and European bloodlines to the breeders in Pennsylvania.

rimrodphotoBy perennial leading sire DANZIG, RIMROD is out of a true blue hen mare, ANNIE EDGE (IRE), who has produced six stakes winners, including champion SELKIRK, multiple graded stakes winner SEEBE and earners of more than $1.5 million.


On the track, RIMROD was a multiple stakes winner of over $100,000.

He met and defeated European Sprint Champion and leading sire, OASIS DREAM and many of Europe’s finest runners.


At stud, RIMROD has sired the stakes winners LENAPE RIM ($617,366), VIANELLO ($263,255) and earners of more than $4.6 million.

He has sired 62 percent winners from starters, and has an average earnings per runner of $65,422, which is 40 times his stud fee.

All in all, RIMROD is a fantastic bargain for breeders in Pennsylvania.

Lord Shanakill, a Gr1 winner and sire of a Gr1 winner

LORD SHANAKILL is the outstanding G1 winning son of SPEIGHTSTOWN, and he is a winner of over $908,000.

LORD SHANAKILL has already sired G1 millionaire, MY DREAM BOAT, winner of the G1 Prince of Wales’s Stakes and several other graded stakes.

In winning the Prince of Wales’s, he defeated two of the highest ranked horses in the world, FOUND and A SHIN HIKARI.

He has also sired MARVEL HERO, stakes winner and track record holder in Hong Kong.

LORD SHANAKILL has a record and pedigree to produce top class horses on both dirt and turf. He himself was a class sprinter in England.

He won the Group 2 Belair Cup Lennox Stakes at Goodwood and the Group 2 Totepad City Plate at Chester, and he ran in the 2009 Breeder's Cup Sprint in this country.

LAST GUNFIGHTER ran seven 100 or better Beyer numbers going from 1 to 1 ¼ miles.

He was a winner of seven stakes, including 4 graded wins.

He won the G2 Hawthorne Gold Cup Handicap at Hawthorne as a 4-year-old, and he won three G3 races as a 3-year-old, including the Excelsior Stakes at Aqueduct, the Pimlico Special Stakes at Pimlico and the Philip H. Isellin Stakes at Monmouth Park.

He defeated many of the best horses of his era, including PALACE MALICE, PAYNTER, FLAT OUT, GAME ON DUDE, MORENO, ALPHA, and ORB.

He placed second in four stakes, including the G1 King's Bishop Stakes, scoring a 105 Beyer, the $140,000 Icecapade Stakes with a 100 Beyer, etc.

He placed third in nine additional stakes including the G2 Smile Sprint Handicap, the G2 Amsterdam Stakes and the G3 Jaipur Stakes, earning a total of $1,077.708.

Weigelia is a  G1 winner of 13 races in all and $1,007,708.

He ran nine 100-plus Beyers, 15 BRIS Speed Rating of 100 plus (twice 111) and set two new course records: 6 furlongs in 1:07 at Belmont Park and 5 furlongs in :55 at Monmouth Park.

Weigelia won on dirt and turf, going long and short, on fast and sloppy surfaces and retired 100% Sound.

Weigelia is by Safely's Mark, a winning son of Two-Time Leading Sire Danzig, his dam is Champion Sprinter Safely Kept, and he is three-parts-brother to multiple graded stakes winner and successful regional sire, Partner's Hero.

On the distaff side of Weigelia's pedigree, he comes from an historic Calumet Farm family that also produced the immortal Citation, Filly Triple Crown heroine Davona Dale, and the Preakness Stakes victor Gate Dancer.

Rule by Night stands eighth on North American Sire List

Rule by Night is a multiple stakes winner of nearly $250,000.

Rule by Night StallionRule by Night He is one of the fastest sons of leading sire Malibu Moon, and he currently stands eighth on the North American general sire list.

Rule by Night was on the board in 10 of 15 career starts, including the $100,000 G3 Bold Ruler Handicap and the $500,000 Gallant Bob Stakes in which he was second by just a neck.

Rule by Night has posted career best fractions of :21 4/5, :44 3/5, :56 3/5 and 1:08 2/5 for six furlongs, and he ran a ragozin of one twice!

He was extremely fast as a race horse and he passes his speed on to his get.

Rule by Night posted a 108 Beyer in the 7-furlong Groovy Stakes while winning by 9 1/4 lengths and won Belmont's Duck Dance Stakes going 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:14 4/5.
