Get Ready for 11 Days of Top Sport at the 79th Pennsylvania National Horse Show

HARRISBURG, Pa.--The Pennsylvania National Horse Show is one of the country’s most prestigious indoor equestrian events, and it is set to return to the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg from Oct/ 9-19, 2025!

This year’s show promises thrilling competition and family-friendly fun.

Spectators can expect world-class athletes in action, from junior riders vying for top honors in the Turnham Green/USEF Junior Jumper National Championships and the Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final to Olympians and top-ranked grand prix riders facing off in the $100,000 Grand Prix de Penn National.

In the addition to the competition in the ring, this year’s show will feature:

Cailin Boyle on Alexis Rumford Cailin Boyle on Alexis Rumford  a free Family Fun Day on Oct. 11 from 1-4 p.m. Kids and the young at heart can enjoy face painting, wagon rides, arts and crafts, goat snuggling, behind-the-scenes tours, a scavenger hunt, horse meet and greets and more – all at no cost!

 Team Night on Oct. 17. Barns, 4-H clubs, IEA teams and groups of any kind are invited to attend the $30,000 Commonwealth Classic while simultaneously vying for special team prizes!

 performances by Dan James of Double Dan Horsemanship. Tickets to this year’s featured events on Friday, Oct/ 17, and Saturday, Oct. 18, will also include entertainment from this renowned horseman!

Devon Fall Classic to return Sept. 11-14, bringing top competition and family fun back to Devon (2)

DEVON, Pa.--The Devon Fall Classic, an all jumper show, will return forits four day run from Sept. 11-14.

Devon fair Photo by Brenda CarpenterDevon fair Photo by Brenda CarpenterAlong with the jumper competition in the Dixon Oval, there will be the traditional Fair in the adjacent area with shops, rides, food and all kinds of entertainment with music.

There's family fun with rides and games and adult entertainment with wine and music daily at the Fall Classic.

Horse show classes begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Sunday and at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.

On Thursday, Sept. 11th, and Friday, Sept.12, Take2 Thoroughbred Jumpers are featured, with the $5,000 Welcome Jumper Stake at 7 p.m. Thursday  evening and the $10,000 Open Speed Stake at7 p.m. Friday evening.

Junior and adult jumpers compete Saturday and Sunday, with the spectator favorite Leadline at 1 p.m. followed by the $7,500 1.45m Junior/Amateur Classic on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday evening, the National Anthem and a Color Guard Presentation are followed by the $25,000 Devon Grand Prix at 7 p.m.

Caitlin Boyle on Navaar won last year's Grand Prix in an exciting seven horse jump-off.

In the Country Fair, Vendor Booths open at 10:00 a.m. daily,so this is a wonderful way to get a start on Christmas shopping with the Boutiques offering an enticing variety of items.

For the kids and family fun, Midway Rides and Games run from 4 to 9 p.m.Thursday, from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to close on Sunday.

DAD 11From Sept. 23 through 28, the historic Devon Horse Show Grounds will come alive with six days of competition, education and celebration.

The week opens with the Breed Division, showcasing the next generation of champions.

Foals, mares and stallions take center stage in hand as judges evaluate movement, conformation and potential.

As the week unfolds, the Performance Division brings the highest levels of international dressage to the Dixon Oval.

From young riders making their Devon debut to seasoned athletes competing under the lights, every ride is a chance to witness world-class skill and passion for the sport.

Beyond the competition, this event is packed with unforgettable experiences.

DAD 12Thursday’s Masterclass with Olympic medalist Ingrid Klimke, presented by Capital Square, offers a rare opportunity to learn from one of the greatest in eventing and dressage.

A full educational lecture series runs throughout the week, featuring Hilary Clayton, the United States Dressage Federation (USDF) and the New Bolton Center.

Friday’s Dance-Off presented by RDS Automotive Group, combines improvised freestyle riding with music, costumes and a panel of accomplished break-dancers judging every move.

The Fall Festival shopping village is open all week with unique vendors and delicious food that bring the community together.

Whether you are browsing with a cider in hand or eyeing your next show coat, the atmosphere is festive and full of charm.

Every day includes something for families, but Sunday is designed for them.

DAD 13Dressage Explorers Day includes face painting, hands-on activities, a stick horse competition and more.

Foxhunting 101 at Radnor will teach you all about hunting

MALVERN, Pa--Have you always been curious about foxhunting?

Come, be part of Foxhunting 101!
Fox 2Radnor Hunt is once again holding two Saturday sessions on Sept. 13 and 20.
Learn the basics from longtime foxhunter, and Radnor member, Debra Taylor.

Get the chance to go out with the hunt and watch Radnor’s veteran Huntsman James Dean work his magic with his hounds.
YOU WILL hunt the Radnor country and gain insight into this age-old sport.
Fox 3Debra Taylor in cream colored coat on the grayDebra will explain all the terminology, the strategies employed to find Mr. Fox.
She will detail what the jobs of the Hunt Staff entail and explain the nuances of a hunting day.
There will be tailgates after hunting on both sessions - Sept. 13 and 20 2025.
The second day will also feature a tour of the Radnor Kennels.
