Devon Horse Show & Country Fair Announces the Devon Legacy Initiative, a Five-Year, $5 Million Preservation Initiative Launching October 8 at Triple Crown in Radnor
DEVON, Pa. – The Devon Horse Show & Country Fair Foundation has announced the Devon Legacy Initiative, a five-year, $5 million effort dedicated to preserving and enhancing the historic Devon Horse Show & Country Fair while ensuring it continues to serve future generations. Guided by the theme, “Preserving Tradition. Building Devon’s Future.,” the effort will support improvements to the grounds, facilities, accessibility, hospitality, and infrastructure that have welcomed riders, volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, and spectators for more than 130 years.
THE DEVON Legacy Initiative will officially be introduced during a special kickoff event on October 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Triple Crown Restaurant in Radnor. Guests are invited to enjoy an evening of live music, hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, exclusive commemorative gifts, and an exclusive silent auction, while learning more about Devon’s vision for the future. Hosted by Chairman and CEO Wayne W. Grafton, the cocktail reception will bring together supporters, riders, corporate partners, and friends of Devon who are passionate about preserving the future of North America's most treasured equestrian venue. “For more than 130 years, the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair has represented the very best of our equestrian traditions, our community, and our commitment to philanthropy,” said Wayne W. The Devon Legacy Initiative gives us the opportunity to build on that history by making thoughtful investments that will protect Devon’s character, strengthen its future, and ensure this extraordinary tradition continues for generations to come.”
The October 8 event will feature a silent auction showcasing exclusive experiences that celebrate the traditions of Devon and its community. Auction packages will include private dinners at the historic Devon Club, VIP hospitality during the 2027 Devon Horse Show, luxury home theater experiences, private events on the Devon grounds, and other one-of-a-kind opportunities that cannot be purchased elsewhere. Guests will also learn about the Devon Legacy Initiative Pin Program that will recognize individuals, families, and organizations whose support will leave a legacy on the historic grounds. Recognition levels include Grand Champion, Reserve Champion, and Blue Ribbon, with each level offering distinctive benefits and opportunities to become part of Devon’s history.
Additional information about the Devon Legacy Initiative will be available during the Devon Fall Classic, taking place September 10 through September 13.Visitors may request a complimentary Devon Legacy Initiative information packet from the ticket office upon entering the grounds. The packet will also be included in the official Devon Fall Classic Guide.
