HARRISBURG, Pa.--For eight decades, the road through indoor season has run through Harrisburg, Pa.
This Oct. 8-18, the Pennsylvania National Horse Show marks 80 years in the state’s capitol, welcoming the country's top hunters, jumpers and equitation riders to the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex for 11 days of championship competition, entertainment and tradition.
Founded in 1946, the Pennsylvania National is the longest-running indoor horse show of its kind in the United States and holds US Equestrian's prestigious Heritage Competition designation.
For generations of riders — including many from the Delaware Valley — a trip to the historic Harrisburg Coliseum has represented the culmination of a season's work.
