International 1.60m Jumper Stallion Lands at Hilltop Farm
Details
By SARA CAVANAGH
COLORA, Md.--An exciting stallion option for North American jumper breeding, Iceman de Muze, combines an exceptional performance record and one of the most successful marelines in both sport and breeding.
Iceman Iceman’s performance record includes an extensive FEI record under multiple riders through 1.60m, representing the Netherlands at the World Breeding Championships, and, after being imported to the United States, top placings at some of the most prestigious US venues.
Most recently Iceman was paired with the young rider Elli Yeager and had great success at Grand Prix and U25 Grand Prix.
Yeager, Iceman’s owner and rider, is very complimentary of the stallion’s talent and character, she shared “Iceman is a horse that gave his rider so much confidence. He could jump anything you put in front of him, and I always knew when I walked in the ring that I would walk out of the ring safely and with a smile on my face. He was also one of the most intuitive horses I have ridden; he always just knew how I was feeling and if he needed to step up for me.”
Iceman Iceman’s talent for top sport is no surprise as you look closer at his pedigree.
His sire, Erco van’t Roosakker, combines the proven blood of Darco and Kannan and is an accomplished international Grand Prix competitor.
Iceman’s dam, Teekitezzie de Muze competed successfully through 1.45m, produced three licensed stallions, and has numerous competition horses to her credit.
Descending from the sought after Qerly Chin mareline, Iceman offers access to one of the most successful marelines in jumper breeding.
Iceman has primarily been a competition horse, but the success of the small number of offspring he has produced to date has been impressive including 13 FEI competitors and two offspring that have competed at the World Breeding Championships.
Now available via cooled and frozen semen, we look forward to Iceman’s positive influence on jumper breeding in North America.
Iceman de Muze is approved BWP, Rhineland, and Westfalen with foals also eligible for Hanoverian, Dutch, and Oldenburg registries.

Here there are rolling green farms and lush forests, sparkling clear springs and rivers, and a love of all things equine.

Almost everyone falls in love.
Like so many, Tami Fratis was drawn to the beauty and vibrance of Ocala, as well as the community’s investment in and passion for the equine industry.

Nothing was more appealing than immersing herself in a vibrant community centered around her passion.
She purchased Tamarian Farms, a beautiful 60 acre property, and created a first-rate training facility, welcoming professionals and aspiring hopefuls on equal footing in a judgment-free environment.
The Morton Barn complex is ideal for events, including retreats, weddings, or clinics. Tami is pleased to welcome Robert Stucky, a top Hunter Trainer and Tyler Haney, Head Trainer o Tamarian Farms
Just three miles from the World Equestrian Center, it’s fast becoming a favorite haven for riders and professional competitors to come and work out in one of the areas only indoor 100’ x 200’ arena with GGT footing in the indoor arena, like riders find at WEC.

People new to riding or who want to get back in the saddle again find an atmosphere of encouragement and positivity at Tamarian Farms, with trainers who help them restore their confidence and partnership with the horse.
If you happen to be in Ocala, you should stop by.

Equissage Certification Program, From Career to Pre-retirement to Career
Details
By Staff Writers
Our plan was to discontinue teaching the Equissage Certification Program, place our business on the market, sell our little farm, downsize, and get ready for retirement.
We were interviewed for what were supposed to be managerial positions at the farm of a very wealthy widow in Rhode Island, work a couple more years, then go into full retirement.
It did not work out! Once we announced that we had sold our farm, the attitude of the owner of the RI farm changed overnight.
Everything went from bad to worse. Contract agreements were no longer adhered to.
Job vacancies were not filled, which placed an additional work load on us.
We were confronted with a six day work week and loss of time off.
This disappointment brought us full circle to where we started as Equine Body Workers.
Very early on in our careers, we committed to giving some level of wellness back to horses for all they have, and are still giving, to us and everyone who has encountered these amazing beings.
We are happy and exited to continue our passion for as long as we are able.
A former student of ours connected us with the President of an Equine / Donkey Sanctuary, Ray of Light Farm, Inc., in East Haddam, Conn.
The meeting went well, and in short order, we decided to make the move to East Haddam, and revive the Equissage Certification Program for New England and New York.
We are looking forward to a very good year teaching the Equissage Certification Course.
Additionally, we offer a One-Day Intro to Equine Massage for horse owners, and the Upper Suspension Release Method, a technique which addresses tension of the deeper Thorasic Sling muscles, Pelvic Girdle muscles, deeper Back, Oblique, Poll and Neck muscles.
Our Classes are intentionally kept small, no more than four, to insure that we can provide the best student to instructor ratio, enabling us to pay closer attention to those students requiring more one-on-one focus during the hands on practice sessions. Doris is also a MMCP & Coach.
Additionally, we provide Body Work services including: Sports and Therapeutic Massage, Myo-Fascial Release, Cranio Sacral Therapy, Masterson Method Techniques, Reiki, Infra Red Photon Light Therapy, and the Upper Suspension Release.

Blackhall won the Maryland Hunt Cup Timber Stakes in a close, hard fought finish
Details
By SARA CAVANAGH
GLYNDON, Md.--Winning the Maryland Hunt Cup, that's a pretty dramatic way to break your maiden.
Blackhall, right, and Vintage Vinnie at the last fence But that's what Blackhall did.
With one last surge to hold off Shootist's closing run, Kinross Corporation's Blackhall, trained by Joe Davies and ridden by Charlie Marshall, went from a maiden with only two seconds from 15 starts to a Stakes winner with $63,600 in earnings.
Blackhall won the $100,000, 4 mile Maryland Hunt Cup Timber Stakes by a neck over Shootist, trained by Todd McKenna, with Goodoldtimes, trained by Mark Beecher another 1/2 length back.
Vintage Vinnie, also trained by Davies, was a further length back in fourth, and Rocket Star Red, trained by Beecher, was the fifth and final finisher from a starting field of nine.
This year's race was highly anticipated, and it lived up to expectations with one of the most exciting finishes in the history of the race.
Vinnie went straight to the front and led by huge margins for much of the race , almost lost his rider, Teddy Davies, at fence 10,, but recovered and continued to lead but was caught at the last fence and was out-kicked to the finish.
It was a thrilling stretch run with the four horses fighting it out to the end.
Again, no racing at Fair Hill, it's a debacle and Government at its worst
Details
By SARA CAVANAGH
FAIR HILL, Md.--The disaster that is the turf track at Fair Hill is evidence of Government at its worst.
Fair Hill turf courseThe turf track has cost Maryland taxpayers millions of dollars, with the cost going up annually, and the inability to use it has cost racing a prime venue and trainers at Fair Hill Training Center a turf track on which to work their horses.
No one in the Maryland Department of Natural Resources or the Sports Corporation of Maryland contacted by The Horse of Delaware Valley claimed responsibility for the turf track - or at least no one admitted to that responsibility.
No one even seems to know why the track can't be used.
Julia Solomon, Assistant Secretary, Enterprise Service, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, said "I oversee finances, not the land."
Jeff Newman of the Sports Corporation of Maryland and President and CEO of the Fair Hill International 5* Event said "You'll have to talk to the operators of the track. We're promoters of the venue. I can't comment on the track."
Snap Decision and Schoodic win Stakes at the Middleburg Spring Races
Details
By SARA CAVANAGH
MIDDLEBURG, Va.--Jack Fisher had a spectacular day at the Middleburg Spring Races on Saturday, April 20, winning both stakes with Snap Decision and Scoodic and two maiden races with promising 5-year-olds.
Snap Decision leads over last in Gwathmey (Photo by Tod Marks) Bruton Street-US' Snap Decision, ridden by Graham Watters, was an impressive winner in the $75,000, G2, 2 1/2 mile Temple Gwathmey Hurdle Stakes, winning by 8 lengths while carrying the top weight of 162 pounds.
Snap was giving 10 pounds to second placed Noah and the Ark (Ire), trained by Todd McKenna, and 16 pounds to third placed Awakened, also trained by Fisher.
With the win, Snap is now a millionaire, with earnings of $1,045,834.
"It astounds me that he has won over $1 million but hasn't won an Eclipse Award," said Fisher. "That was a prep race. He'll go to the Iroquois stakes next."
It shows what kind of a horse Snap is that a $75,000 Stakes race could be considered a prep race.
Scoodic, owned by Fisher's mother, Mrs. John R. S. (Dolly) Fisher and ridden by Watters won the $30,000, 3 1/4 mile Middleburg Hunt Cup Timber Stakes by 2 1/4 lengths over Family Tree (GB), trained by Neil Morris.

These majestic horses will pull the renowned red Studebaker beer delivery wagon, guided by an expert driver dressed in yesteryear’s traditional green and red delivery uniform.
Every equestrian knows the challenges of maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy stall environment.
Dirty, moist stalls cause health issues like respiratory ailments and hoof problems.
Uneven or non-supporting surfaces cause undue joint stresses.
From the labor-intensive cleaning to the mounting bedding and waste disposal costs, the traditional methods can be challenging.
Envirostall will revolutionize your stall-cleaning experience.
Envirostall is a patented biofiltration system that removes urine and impurities from your stalls and converts the contaminants into water and harmless gases before they enter the ecosystem.
Envirostall remains level while providing a comfortable, yet supportive foundation for your horse.
With Envirostall, your barns will not have the ammonia smell from the urea, which causes respiratory health issues for both humans and horses.
You will see a drastic reduction in bedding and waste disposal costs by up to 75 percent, and labor and veterinary expenses decrease by as much as half.
Envirostall's multi-layered, patented system, about five inches deep, uses the natural processes of bioremediation to clean and neutralize urine contaminants.
Envirostall absorbs horse urine through the Envirofilter, a one-piece layer of water permeable, geotextile material that filters horse urine and other impurities out of the stall and into the Envirostall system.
The urine then continues through the Enviromat, an anti-fatigue layer of matting that provides a level, comfortable surface for your horse.
This layer greatly reduces stress on your horse's joints and the potential for hock sores.
The urine then settles in a layer of Envirolyte, a highly porous stone aggregate, where millions of proprietary microbes designed specifically for horse urine live and digest the urine impurities.
The water then flows back into the soil as clean water with no nitrates, phosphates, or antibiotics.
As long as you keep a horse in the stall, these tiny bugs will thrive and multiply, working continuously to clean and neutralize impurities from your stalls.
With Envirostall, your stalls are virtually pristine reducing the health risks to your horses and you.
You can have confidence in knowing that your stalls are sanitary and your stable is the healthiest environment possible for your horses.

Enter "Horse of a Different Color," a pioneering organization dedicated to equine education and brain-centered horsemanship.
At the helm of their transformative clinics is Jennifer Currie, equestrian, author, and Equine-Education Consultant, whose expertise in educational neuroscience drives their mission of building safe and trusting horses.
Currie's approach is grounded in the principles of educational neuroscience, emphasizing the importance of understanding both the horse and human brain.
Through this lens, she has found that by leveraging this knowledge, trainers and riders can tailor their approaches to be more effective and compassionate, ultimately leading to better outcomes and a deeper connection between them.
Joining Currie is Wendy Shaffer, a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner, whose knowledge of the mind and body brings a holistic dimension to the clinics.
Shaffer enlightens on the ways in which our horses “talk” to us, raising awareness of the instinctual body language horses display.
