DEVON, Pa. –From this year's show, The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair presents a $400,000 donation to Bryn Mawr Hospital, which was received by Bryn Mawr President Andi Gilbert and members of the hospital community during a reception at the hospital on Friday, Dec. 1 at 5:30 pm.
To date, over $15 million has been donated by Devon Horse Show and Country Fair to Bryn Mawr Hospital.
Devon's current donation will support For Every Generation, a community-based $30 million capital campaign that supports the Bryn Mawr Hospital’s $253 milestone modernization project.
The fourth installment of a $2 million pledge will be presented by the 2017 Devon Country Fair Senior Co-Chair Beth Wright, and Co-Chair Lisa Estabrook, Devon Horse Show and Country Fair Chairman, Wayne Grafton, and President Richard O’Donnell.
“To be able to give back to the community by presenting this gift to Bryn Mawr Hospital is really gratifying,” said Wright. “All that are involved with our organization make a difference in keeping the tradition alive to ensure that we have the most innovate hospital.”
With an attendance of approximately 100,000 people, the 2017 Devon Horse Show and Country Fair welcomed several new additions to the show's packed program featuring the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales and a new $50,000 Arena Eventing Class, only fourth of its kind in the world.
“Our For Every Generation capital campaign, that the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair continues to support, helps us to provide contemporary facilities, advanced technology and other updates to existing structures that will reinforce the quality of the care we provide to the community,” said Gilbert. “We can’t thank the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair and its volunteers enough for their generous contribution year after year.”
Started in 1896, the Devon Horse Show is the oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed competition in the United States and draws top competitors from around the world.
