Country Properties: Fifty Years of Stewardship, Service, and Equestrian Expertise

In 2026, Country Properties proudly celebrates its 50th anniversary—five decades dedicated to thoughtful real estate guidance, land stewardship, and a deep respect for the equestrian and rural communities we serve.

Country PropLeft to right: Chase Davis, Rob Van Alen, Amy McKenna, Camille Gracie, Mark Wilcox III, Lucinda OrrSince 1976, Country Properties has quietly refined the art of navigating the sale and purchase of homes and land with confidence and care.

Our expertise spans historic estates, equestrian facilities, large land tracts, conserved acreage, and properties of all sizes and price ranges—each transaction handled with the same attention to detail and respect for the land.

Honoring the Land and Our Community

A defining hallmark of Country Properties is our long-standing commitment to land preservation.

Over the years, we have cultivated a reputation for expert knowledge of conservation easements and land protection strategies.

Guiding clients through the conservation easement process is not simply a service we provide—it is a responsibility we take seriously.

For landowners seeking to permanently protect their farms, open space, or equestrian properties, our depth of knowledge offers reassurance and clarity at critical decision points.

This commitment extends beyond transactions.

With more than 150 years of combined real estate experience, our agents are equally invested in the communities where they live and work.

Through volunteerism with local and regional organizations, we have played an active role in nurturing open space, preservation of natural resources, water quality and sustaining the rural character that defines our region.

Tied to the fox-hunting, racing, showing and carriage-driving equestrian communities, we share our clients’ interests and understand their objectives.

Distinguished Marketing Leadership with a Personal Touch

At Country Properties, integrity is not a slogan—it is the foundation of our practice.

Our agents are dedicated to faithfully representing clients and guiding them through the often-complex process of buying or selling property.

We strive to bring a sense of dignity, professionalism, and calm to every transaction, whether marketing a legacy horse farm or welcoming a first-time buyer to a village home.

Since 2013, our affiliation with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has further strengthened our ability to serve clients at the highest level.

Through this relationship—and our partnership with Fox & Roach Realtors—clients benefit from leading-edge tools, including advanced digital home marketing systems and global exposure.

Just as importantly, they enjoy these advantages without sacrificing the local knowledge, discretion, and personalized service that define Country Properties.

Looking Ahead

As we mark 50 years in business, we do so with gratitude—for our clients, our colleagues, and the landscapes entrusted to our care.

Country Properties remains committed to thoughtful growth, responsible land stewardship, and the enduring values that have guided us since 1976.

For the equestrian community and rural landowners alike, our mission remains unchanged: to serve with expertise, integrity, and respect for the land we all cherish.
