Devon Fall Classic returns Sept. 10-14, celebrating 13 years of show jumping excellence

DEVON, Pa.--The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair proudly announces the return of the Devon Fall Classic, Sept. 10–13, 2026, at the historic Devon Show Grounds in Devon, Pa.

Held on grounds that have welcomed generations of equestrians since 1896, the event offers four days of competition ranging from .85m jumpers through Grand Prix-level classes.

Highlights include the $25,000 Devon Fall Classic Grand Prix, Open Speed Stake, Welcome Stake, Junior and Amateur Jumper Classics, and Young Jumper divisions.

“The Fall Classic has grown into a favorite for riders, spectators, sponsors, and families alike,” said Wayne W. Grafton, Chairman and CEO of the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair. “As we celebrate Devon’s 130th anniversary, this event represents the perfect blend of tradition, community, and world-class competition. It also gives many riders their first chance to compete on the famed Dixon Oval, gaining valuable experience as they work toward qualifying for the Devon Horse Show in May 2027. Plantation Field International: Where World-Class Sport Meets Country Charm

UNIONVILLE, Pa.--Plantation Field International brings elite equestrian sport and classic country-fair charm together each September, and the 2026 event promises one of the most compelling weekends on the eventing calendar.

But Plantation Field is more than a four-star test of skill and stamina.

It is a destination event where spectators can spend the day moving from the competition arenas to Vendor Village, browsing equestrian and lifestyle offerings, sampling local food, cocktails and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the Country Fair.

The weekend’s entertainment adds to the appeal, with crowd favorites such as the Jack Russell Races and demonstrations bringing energy and personality to the grounds.

New for 2026, RDS Automotive Group will be on-site, offering guests an exciting chance to experience an off-road drive test drive in their Grenadier.

Carl Hester headlines Master Class at Dressage at Devon

DEVON, Pa.--One of the most respected figures in international dressage will take center stage at Dressage at Devon this September as Olympic medalist and renowned trainer Carl Hester MBE leads The Capital Square Masterclass on Sept. 24 at 6p.m. in the historic Dixon Oval.

A multiple Olympic medalist, European Champion, World Championship medalist, and mentor to many of the world's top riders, he has played a pivotal role in elevating British dressage while remaining deeply committed to education and horse-centered training.

Learning from One of the Sport's Great Teachers

Known for his straightforward and practical teaching style, Hester has earned admiration not only for his success at the highest levels of competition, but also for his ability to make complex training concepts accessible to riders of all levels.

The Capital Square Masterclass will focus on the fundamentals that have defined Hester's approach throughout his career: correct basics, rider confidence, effective communication, and the development of systems that support long-term success.

Attendees can expect an evening centered on practical takeaways rather than theory alone, with demonstrations and insights designed to help riders strengthen their partnerships with their horses regardless of competitive goals.

"My goal for the masterclass is to provide practical insights that riders can take away and use immediately. Pennsylvania National Horse Show Celebrates Eighty Years, Oct. 8–18

HARRISBURG, Pa.--For eight decades, the road through indoor season has run through Harrisburg, Pa.

PNHS 1 This Oct. 8-18, the Pennsylvania National Horse Show marks 80 years in the state’s capitol, welcoming the country's top hunters, jumpers and equitation riders to the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex for 11 days of championship competition, entertainment and tradition.

Founded in 1946, the Pennsylvania National is the longest-running indoor horse show of its kind in the United States and holds US Equestrian's prestigious Heritage Competition designation.

For generations of riders — including many from the Delaware Valley — a trip to the historic Harrisburg Coliseum has represented the culmination of a season's work.

Championship Competition at Every Level

This year’s PNHS competition schedule is once again chockful of championships and prestigious finals.

Junior Weekend brings the nation's best young riders to town for one of the most coveted titles in equitation, the USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final — to be held on Sunday, Oct. 11 — and for the Turnham Green/USEF Junior Jumper National Championships – running Thursday, Oct. 8 through Saturday, Oct. 10.

During Champions Week, open jumper competition builds through the $30,000 Commonwealth Classic on Friday, Oct. 16 — the centerpiece of the show's popular Team Night — before culminating in the $100,000 Grand Prix de Penn National on Saturday, Oct. 17.

Fox 2 Radnor Hunt is once again holding two Saturday sessions on Sept. 19 and Oct. 3, 2026.
Learn the basics from longtime Radnor Master Collin McNeill.

Get the chance to go out with the hunt and watch Radnor’s veteran Huntsman James Dean as he works his magic with the hounds.
YOU WILL "hunt", but at a steady walk or trot in the Radnor country while gaining insight into this age-old sport.

Colin McNeill Collin will explain all the terminology, the strategies employed to find Mr. Fox.
He will detail what the jobs of the Hunt Staff entail and explain the nuances of a hunting day.
There will be tailgates after hunting on both sessions - Sept. 19 and Oct. 3, 2026.
The second day will also feature a tour of the Radnor Kennels.
