Held on grounds that have welcomed generations of equestrians since 1896, the event offers four days of competition ranging from .85m jumpers through Grand Prix-level classes.
Highlights include the $25,000 Devon Fall Classic Grand Prix, Open Speed Stake, Welcome Stake, Junior and Amateur Jumper Classics, and Young Jumper divisions.
“The Fall Classic has grown into a favorite for riders, spectators, sponsors, and families alike,” said Wayne W. Grafton, Chairman and CEO of the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair. “As we celebrate Devon’s 130th anniversary, this event represents the perfect blend of tradition, community, and world-class competition. It also gives many riders their first chance to compete on the famed Dixon Oval, gaining valuable experience as they work toward qualifying for the Devon Horse Show in May 2027. We look forward to welcoming competitors from throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.”
THE 2026 Fall Classic will also serve as a major platform for the Devon Legacy Initiative, a five-year, $5 million effort to preserve, restore, and modernize Devon under the theme “Preserving Tradition. Building Devon’s Future.”
The initiative will fund facility modernization, accessibility and hospitality upgrades, barn improvements, parking and paving work, and long-term preservation projects.
Attendees can learn more throughout the weekend ahead of the official kickoff reception on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, at Triple Crown in Radnor, Pa.
“The Devon Legacy Initiative is about stewardship,” Grafton added. “This effort will help ensure future generations continue to experience the magic and impact of this treasured institution.”
In 2025, Elizabeth Traband and Eddie Blue captured the $25,000 Grand Prix after topping a competitive jump-off field.
Alongside the competition, attendees can enjoy boutique shopping, food and refreshments, and family-friendly activities.
