But, Sklansky has never quite gotten his big Harrisburg win until now.
Sklansky and the grey Zangersheide gelding was one of 13 to make the jump off over the Oscar Soberon-designed course, and Sklansky had the winning time of 35.41 seconds.
That time narrowly edged out the week’s winningest 1.30m rider, Laura Chapot.
Chapot on Tyson Fury was clean in 36.25 seconds to place second, and she also finished third in 36.68 seconds on Calafornia..
“I’ve never won anything here. I’ve had a lot of chips here!” said Sklansky. “I finally won something, and it means a lot. It’s big show, so it’s fun to be here.”
“LAURA'S HORSE is very fast, so I had to really go for i," saidSklansky. "Zibaloubet Z’s got a big step. He’s naturally fast, and he turns tight. We just got him recently, so we’re kind of testing out the buttons, and I figured it out today.”
“Zibaloubet Z is a very easygoing horse,” said Sklansky. “He is his owner Kate Laborde’s next step up to the 1.40m and hopefully the grand prix, and he’s just very chill in the barn. He knows his job, and he wants to win. We just have to figure out how to do it!”
Tyson Fury was the 1.30m Jumper Champion, and Chapot was 1.30m Leading Lady Jumper Rider and the 1.30m Leading Jumper Rider.
