MONTPELIER STATION, Va.--Riverdee Stable's Cool Jet (Ire) won the G3, $75,000 Noel Laing Stakes at Montpelier, while Mark Beecher had two winners and a third to win the Leading Trainers award.

"Cool Jet has a very high cruising speed," said Sean Clancy, manager of the Riverdee Stable syndicate "He loved it at Montpelier, He loved those hedge jumps. Some horses brush through them, but he jumped over them. It looked beautiful. And he never put a foot wrong."
Cool Jet went to the front from the start and was never headed, opening up after the last fence to win comfortably.
"Bernie got on him three rides ago, and he's got him in rhythm," said Clancy.
Cool Jet has won the last three stakes he's run in,, the Commonwealth Cup at Great Meadow, the Mariann de Tjjeda Stakes at Foxfield and now at Montpelier, after finishing second and third earlier this year.
"He's 9, and he's had a good year," said Clancy. " He'll probably go to the Colonial Cup. I think he'll like it there."

Runnymoore Racing's Orders Anthem (Ire), ridden by Dan Nevin, won the first division of the $20,000, 2 3/8 mile Maiden Claiming Hurdle by 3/4 lengths in 4:34 4/5 over Mystified, trained by Julie Gomena, and Hey Padre, also trained by Beecher.
"He's a nice Irish horse," said Beecher.
Turks Head Turf's Rejection Hurts, also ridden by Nevin, won the second division of the $20,000 Maiden Claiming by 1 1/2 lengths n 4:43 3/5 over Harrenhal (Ire), trained by Ricky Hendriks, and Camcha, trained by Todd Wyatt.
"We had a good day," said Beecher.
Our Finest Hour (Fr), owned by Rebecca Shepherd, trained by David Bourke and ridden by Conor Tierney, won the $75,000 Filly and Mare Hurdle Stakes by 4 1/2 lengths in 4:37 2/5 over Madaket's Arrow, trained by Kate Dalton, and Love Saga, trained by Sean McDermott.
Dalton saddled Joseph Fowler's Scoop the Pot to win the $30,000 Ratings Handicap Hurdle by 1/2 length in 4:37 1/5 over Super Chunk, trained by McDermott, and Pavoni, trained by Todd McKenna.
Leslie Young saddled Leipers Fork Steeplechase's Grey Pharoah (Ire), ridden by Jamie Bargary, to win the $40,000 Maiden Hurdle by 29 lengths in 4:39 1/5 over Cinco Linko, trained by Sam Cockburn, and Lewin's Gully (Ire), trained by McKenna.
Arch Kingsley saddled Alsamy Racing Club's Scarlet Raider to win the 1 mile training Flat by 2 lengths on 1:42 2/5 over Modern Master, trained by Neil Morris, and Where's Charlie, also trained by Morris.
